Dyyying

hmmmmm....

so this blog has definitely died.

even though it still applies to all but one of us...unless someone ain't telling us something.

ah well......

i guess nothing really interesting has been happening anyways.

I am, however, going to be hosting a grad party in one fo the upcoming months... so don't be surprised at a facebook event notice...

that is all. good day.

Things to Do!

Okay, Emily left a comment on one of the latest posts (and they're not even all that recent!) about two ideas we came up with. Next Friday - the 16th- there's a concert in Hamilton. I've been to see this guy three times now, and he's good. Even better, tickets are only $10! So, if you're interested, let Marsha know soon; we're trying to get a good-sized group together. Then on Saturday night, Emily's having a party. I don't know all the deets, maybe Em can fill in the blanks.......

My last (?) post here??

Kkk.....Emily has to break it to you: she is soon to leave the ranks of the single Christian girls of Ontario...hopefully never to return. I'm not too sad, but I hope you let me return once in awhile to chat.....anyways..thats it...too many other things going on to stay longer. Teeheehee... :P

What now?

So, Christmas has come and gone, the parties were a success (am I right?), and we're 26% of the way through January as of today. But now there's nothing to look forward to. Anyone have something we can do together, a concert or product party or no-real-specific-reason get-together-anyway?

Christmas / New Year's

So, what'chare we gonna do for Christmas?

We could:
1. get together early in December (more like Sinter Klaas)
* only thing is, that's exam time (for some of us)
2. get together the week before Christmas
3. " " " " after "
4. " " sortuv halfway in between Christmas and New Year's
5. New Year's
6. skip it and save the money we would have spent (I'm really not encouraging this one!)

If we do want to give presents, how do we decide who buys for whom?
I need answers.

Random Question (I answered it on my profile!)

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?

You know who I miss? Erin VanderWoude. It feels like years since I last saw her! Actually, come to think of it, it was last year or so, but then we only had a minute (literally) to talk, and I haven't heard from her since. Being back at Guido during Study Weekend made me remember all the fun we had - don't you wish we could go back, even just for a day/week?

Does anyone have Erin's e-mail?

Sound familiar?

Darling, for you I think of what I’d do
To keep you safe and sound,
I would climb the highest mountain,
I would swim the widest sea,
I would wrestle a gorilla to the ground.
I would fend off a dozen charging rhinos,
I would capture a storm of killer bees,
I would fight a fiery dragon with a wooden sword
If I didn’t know what this could do to me

’cause it’s too dangerous (too dangerous!)
I’d really like to do it, but I might get hurt.
It’s dangerous (too dangerous!)
I don’t feel like bleeding on my brand new shirt.
You might call me cowardly or say I’ll full of fright,
You might call me yellow,
And baby you’d be right!

So I’d surf across volcanoes full of lava,
I’d even grab a tiger by the tail.
I would make fun of a boxing champion’s mother,
But my courage and my bowels both would fail.
I would fight off a bunch of angry cossacks,
I would stop a thousand bullets with my hand,
I would laugh as my leg was amputated,
But baby, I’m not that kind of man!

’cause it’s too dangerous (too dangerous!)
I use big words but I never do the deed
It’s dangerous (too dangerous!)
I faint like a baby if I see somebody bleed.
I haven’t got a backbone
I’m as timid as a mouse
I would find a cure for this
But I can’t leave the house!
Cause it’s dangerous
Too dangerous
Too dangerous,
For meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

(*then Trevor probably passes out*)

Rules from God

These are good...

1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord hath made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant
for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything..
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!..
To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything;
instead PRAY ABOUT
EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6
